Joe Merante and Creative Commons

Following on from the posting about opportunities coming out of the IILP, one of our Student Fellows, Joe Merante, recently got a summer internship at Creative Commons.  IILP Director, Dan Hunter, said
"Joe is a fantastic choice for Creative Commons, and we're excited that one of the IILP student research fellows will get to work with such a progressive, prestigious, and engaged organization.  We're delighted for Joe and the signal that this sends out about the quality of NYLS students."
(Judging by the smile on his face, Joe is pretty psyched as well).

Using the IILP...

We’ve been encouraging our Student Fellows, Harlan Scholars, and all other IILP affiliates to network, network, and network some more.  We’ve recently started a program called the IILP Job Track, which is a way for students interested in specific areas of IP to engage with other students who share their interests, and to get to know practitioners in the area.  We've also started a Writing Competition Workshop, to provide students with guidance on what competitions are available in IP fields, how to write for them, and generally provide a welcoming environment for students to work together on their writing.

IILP Affiliated Students: We'd love to know what your plans are over the summer and if we can help prepare you for your jobs/internships/externships in any way.  If you're interested in getting involved with our Job Track program, writing workshop series, or any number of other projects, or have ideas for events or offerings you'd like to see from the IILP, please send us an email.
